When Sciatica Flares-up
Ouch! I woke in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and the familiar pinchy pain in my left buttock told me a sciatica flare-up was starting.
Settling back into bed, I focused on my breath, letting it come and go naturally. I gently held my left middle finger, which harmonizes Gall-bladder energy—its pathway runs through that painful area. After a few minutes, I placed my right hand on the back of my neck between ear and shoulder, and my left hand on my forehead, relaxing and breathing deeply.
Within minutes, the tension in my left buttock eased, and by morning, there was no trace of the flare-up from just a few hours earlier.
