With simple hand placements, Jin Shin Jyutsu® (pronounced gin shin jitsu) helps release stress, supports the nervous system, and restores the body’s natural balance.
It can be practiced during treatments, stressful days, or sleepless nights—bringing steadiness when you need it most.
Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) is a gentle healing Art that helps restore the body’s natural ability to return to balance by releasing tension and stress that contribute to discomfort and fatigue.
Our bodies contain several energy pathways that nourish every cell. When stress or overwhelm cause these pathways to become blocked, the body may experience symptoms such as pain, exhaustion, or emotional imbalance.
JSJ supports the body’s natural ability to restore harmony.
Safety Energy Locks (SEL)
At the heart of Jin Shin Jyutsu are the 26 Safety Energy Locks (SELS), special energy sites located throughout the body.
Each SEL exists on the left and the right sides of the body and represents an area where energy flow can become restricted.
These are not fixed points, but spheres of vital life force, each with its own meaning and function.
By gently placing hands on specific SELS, the flow of energy is supported, and the body’s natural healing processes can begin to rebalance.
Think of Safety Energy Locks like the circuit breakers in your home’s electrical system.
When stress builds, a lock can “trip,” signaling that the body is moving toward imbalance. Discomfort may appear somewhere in the body.
When we gently hold specific combinations of these locks, the flow of energy can resume— restoring harmony and well-being.
